iMote
iMote is an an amazingly useful tool for controlling basic iTunes functions (like pausing/paying the current track, skipping to the next or previous track, etc.) from any application. Say you’re surfing the web with Safari (or doing anything else in any other application – except most games) and you want iTunes to skip to the next track; conventionally you would either have to right-click the iTunes dock menu and choose “Next Track,” or, click the iTunes icon in the dock to open the iTunes window, and then click next-track control. If you’re using iMote, however, you have two more options. First, iMote gives you the option of adding a system .menu item to your menu bar.
