After trashing my Apple keyboard, wired Mighty Mouse and wireless Apple Mighy Mouse, I needed something that worked a bit better. I have found that this Logitech mouse and keyboard are way ahead of the apple mice and keyboard. The price is right, the feel of the keys offer just enough resitance and a bit of click, to make it easy to touch type, and the keyboard sports a few nice features on it. There are extra buttons on both sides of the keyboard that come preprogrammed with instant access to Spotlight, email, safari, itunes and iphoto, as well as iTunes controls on both the mouse and the keyboard. All of the keys are programmable for those that would prefer other apps to launch. The setup comes with its own USB wireless dongle, and extended usb adapter. This means I can easily have the keyboard and mouse work on another computer, such as my laptop, within a few seconds. A nice feature to have!
A couple of worrying points are the requirement of batteries, as in all wireless devices. Except hte keyboard uses AAA batteries, which means I now need to go out and purchase AAA rechargeable batteries. They keyboard is not 100% standard, with the arrows keys, and the page up, down, home and end keys, all squished togethers. This means there is some adjustment to make in using this keyboard. If you use another computer with a standard keyboard, you may get confused a bit, and slow down your typing. Both keyboard and mouse do not seem like the strongest construction, with a slightly cheap feel to them. The mouse is using an invisible light for tracking, which I find is not as accurate as normal light tracking mice. Though this could just be the surface I use the mouse on.
Overall, I am happy with the features, ease of use and quality of this combo, and would recommend it over any Apple keyboard or Mouse.
